BENGALS VS TEXANS LIVE

Houston Texans vs Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football: Time, TV channel, how to watch live stream online

Both teams suffered bad losses in Week 1 and are facing quarterback issues while trying to avoid a second straight loss.

Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien created a quarterback controversy by yanking starter Tom Savage and inserting rookie Deshaun Watson. Watson is expected to start when the Texans face the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football (5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET,  NFL Network).

O’Brien, who possesses arguably the quickest quarterback hook in the NFL, replaced an ineffective Savage with Watson during the second half of the Texans (0-1) loss to Jacksonville in Week 1. Watson provided a spark and is expected to be named the starter for Thursday’s game.

Watson, the Texans first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, was expected to play at some point during the season, but few expected him to be inserted so soon.

A quarterback issue is brewing with the Bengals (0-1) after they were shut out 20-0 at home by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton threw four interceptions – three in the first half – and turned the football over five times in the loss. Coach Marvin Lewis, who is on the hot seat himself, could turn to backup A.J. McCarron if Dalton is unable to turn his performance around against the Texans.
